A Shiny Gold Trophy…precious

My wonderful friend Jazzy has give me the the LIEBSTER AWARD. I have another award(the Shine On Blog Award) from the amazing Nevillegirl which I’ll get to soon too. And somewhere along the way I’ll get a regular blog post up. Maybe.

But. On with the award!

THE RULES:
  • List 11 random facts about myself
  • Answer 11 questions from the person who nominated me
  • Nominate 11 people for the award, along with 11 questions for them to answer
  • Pass it on to people that have fewer then 200 followers.
1. I got the Downton Abbey scripts yesterday. That makes me happy. Yay for going around the house pretending I’m Daisy, then Edith, then…
2. I like Fullmetal Alchemist Manga/Brotherhood Anime. Random little fact for you.
3. My first real novel, and my first Nano’s main character is a detective.
4. Shift is awesome. It tis a roleplay Jasmine and me are both in. You will hear me reference it.
5. I should be working on a project. But I’m roleplaying and posting here! BE GONE DISTRACTIONS!
6. I have allergies. But one of my friends has more allergies. One of my allergies is mustard. I can die if I eat peanuts. Am I impressing you with my tales of danger?
7.  I published a story on Figment recently. Go check out my Figment page. Yay for shameless self-advertising.
8. I’m braindead here.
9. Gertra is confusing to write when it comes to people flirting with her.
10. *SCRATCHES HEAD* LETS SEE. LETS TURN off caps. Good. Good. I like to chat with people in caps.
11. I’m revising. Revising is fun. *glazed look* Actually, it is kind of fun and I have not done enough to warrant a glazed look.
1. Who was the first character you ever wrote?
Oh my. Um. Annie, I think. She was a sunny little girl that lived in someplace resembling the Swiss Alps and was like a with-parents-and-sisters Heidi that wanted a dog. I want to go back and write her story just for kicks sometime.
2. Favorite weather to write to?
Sun actually. It inspires me. But then rain does too. It sort of depends on the season.
3. Most emotional scene ever written?
Hmm…probably the end of Crime Chasers. If we can include roleplays, then my characters reactions to various deaths.
4. Favorite character in your own stories (or top three if you can’t choose)?
Edith! Edith! Edith! But I really do love her. She started out in a roleplay and now another person and me are writing her and another character’s story.
I really love Edith.
Gertra is my other favorite. Her novel was my first actual novel, longer then 10k. And she’s awesome.
5. Favorite character in other fiction (or top three if you can’t choose)?
Holly Short. Because she’s snarky and kind and just generally awesome. An then we have Anne Shirley. Why? My blog is named after her town….
and then…Deryn from Leviathan. She’s amazing, and from one of the first steampunk books I read.
6. What are some things you’ve taken to saying you picked up from your friends? (Mine are “I kid” and “yep yep”. Guess who I got those from. XD )
I honestly don’t know. I don’t really think I’ve picked that much up. (Elyse? Maybe?)
7. Dream cast for one of your novels?

AnnaSophia Robb as Gertra

Picture made by my awesome friend, Elyse.

I don’t know for Jace and Maurice, the two supporting characters for Crime Chasers. I’ll have to do some research.

8. Pepsi or Coke?
Coke. I’ve never tried Pepsi. Perhaps I should sometime.
9. If you could play one musical instrument, what would it be?
The harp! I would love to be able to play that. I do play the violin however, and it is quite nice.
10. What’s the best thing you can cook?
Let’s see…I bake more then cook. Hmm. Well I make a pretty darn good grilled veggie sandwich.
11. Favorite girl name? Favorite boy name?
Francis and Vaudry. Francis can also be a boy name as well. I also love Anne.
WHO I GIVE THE AWARD TO
2. Ann.
I actually think some of these blogs might have 200 followers, but I have no way of knowing.

Interview With Holly Short-The End of The World

Hi, I’m Miss. Isanut from The Daily Prophet! People are saying it’s the end of the world, and we’re here to talk to Miss. Holly Short, Artemis Fowl the Second, and Foaly…Foaly who?

Foaly: Just Foaly. Foaly appears very nervous, and is wearing a hat that seems to be made of tinfoil. I nod to him.

Holly: Captain.

Miss. Isanut: What?

H: She acts frustrated. Captain! Captain Holly Short. Not Miss. I don’t mind Miss too much, but call me Captain.

M.I: Ah, well. Captain Short, what do you think of the world ending?

H.S: Interviewee is laughing hysterically.  I watch her awkwardly.

Foaly: He is whimpering.

H.S: Has recovered somewhat. Trolls. Literally. The world is really not ending. Crazies.

Foaly: May I remind you that I believe this?

H.S: Like I said, crazies.

Artemis: First time he has spoken. It is untrue–there is not one ounce of truth in it. Believe me. Smiles in a way that is reminisce of an actually scary Edward Cullen.

M.I: Sure, we believe you! I smile brightly.  Now, Foaly, I saw someone earlier who I think could be related to you–in disguise perhaps? Is this a family tradition?

Foaly: Appears to be happy. No, but she shows great taste!

H.S: Foaly…snatches his own hat, greatly resembling the womans, off his head.

Foaly: Starts to shriek. Holly!

Artemis: mutters under his breath–can just make out…Foaly…thought…friend logic…Holly…not…five…

H.S: Shut up Artemis! Apparently she can understand his muttering.

Foaly: tries to reach for his hat I need to check on Australia…he takes out his phone.

Mulch: The dwarf suddenly appears, putting the phone in his mouth. Eats it.

All Three: Mulch!

M.N: And this interview is over! Hope everyone has a good day, and enjoys the apocalypse..

~Miss. Cleo. Isanut

Oh, It’s The End of The World Is It?

“Yes, it is,” says the 10%. “No, it isn’t,” says the 60%. “No, it isn’t, but I’m still nervous,” says the 30%.

Well, the world ain’t ending(bad grammar be darned). Just saying. If it was, I somehow think aliens wouldn’t care-their planets might be ending too. Or if not, it seems a far bet that they’d sail down in their spaceship and rescue a bunch of people from a mountain. They’d probably just give you a map, and say, “Second rock to the right, and straight on till morning. Then you’ll find the end of the mountain.” Maybe give you some food and more climbing gear.

And if the apocalypse is coming, then it had better be a steampunk one. Let me die with zeppelins and gears in the sky.

Not mine at all–by VooDooDollMaster

Talk about an Apocalypse. Now that’s cool.

But all steampunk aside–if the world does end in my lifetime, I’m not going to rush to a mountain. I’m just going to the Second World(I hope I’m good enough to make it to Heaven–I think so) and I’m not scared.

But the world isn’t ending anytime soon, if ever. Why end now–we’ve come pretty far. Look at all the progress that we’ve made in the past few years. People of every race have equal rights(well, the USA’s policy towards immigrants could be better), QUILTBAGPIPES(I love that acronym) people can marry in many states(it won’t be long until everyone can marry anywhere in the States), and this generation is so much more accepting of them than past generations, even the ones only a bit older than us. , I’m speaking of the USA, since I live there, but I’m sure it’s true of other places…things are looking up anywhere. So many countries in the Middle East have gotten their dictators off the ‘throne’. Something they’ve been waiting for years.

We aren’t ending now.

Beautiful song, isn’t it? And, also, stay tuned for interviews with Holly Short, Rachel Lynde and more about the End of the World. What do they think?

If you’d like to interview a character/s just let me know in the comments. I’ll give you a nifty badge.

“Uncle Roger,” said the Story Girl, the golden notes of her voice threaded with fear and appeal. “the Enterprise says that to-morrow is the Judgment Day? Is it? Do you think it is?”

“I’m afraid so,” said Uncle Roger gravely. “The Enterprise is always very careful to print only reliable news.”
